We pause today to recognize the profound courage and commitment of all those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. To the veterans, active military members, and military families of the Rochester School District and beyond—thank you for your service!

Our schools will be holding special assemblies to honor our veterans on the following dates and times: RPS: Monday, 11/10 at 9:05 AM, GMES: Thursday, 11/6 at 2:15 PM, RMS: Thursday, 11/6 at 12:55 PM, RHS: Monday, 11/10 at 9:45 AM. (If you plan on attending, please be prepared to check-in and show ID.) All Schools and the District Office will be CLOSED Tuesday, November 11th, in observance of Veterans Day.

No School Reminder! No school on Friday, November 7 for a staff learning day. All schools will be closed, but the District Office will remain open to the public. A big thank you to the Thurston County Sheriff's Community Service Unit (CSU) for their generous donation of 100 backpacks filled with school supplies for our students! It was a pleasure meeting Sgt. Dave Odegaard, Capt. Cyndi, and Lt. Diane during the delivery earlier today. We’re so grateful for their continued support and kindness toward our schools and families. This August there will be two vaccine clinics where required and recommended school immunizations will be provided free of charge: Weds, Aug 13 @ Thurston County Resources Hub – 929 Lakeridge Dr. SW, Olympia, WA 98502 from 11:00AM – 4:00PM and Thurs, Aug 21 @ ROOF-10140 US-12 SW, Rochester, WA 98579 from 10:00AM – 3:00PM. These clinics are a great opportunity to make sure your child is up to date on their vaccinations before the new school year begins.

Our RSD app keeps getting better and better! Invitations to log in to parent-teacher chat in the app are coming TODAY!
Due to technical difficulties, these invitations were not sent last week, but we are ready and excited to get started. Parents/guardians who have already created an account can now access new app features like Messages and Class Streams via web and in the app.
